A modest terraced 1920s Dublin home was acquired in need of substantial structural and service upgrade works.
We undertook to restore, modify and extend through simple interventions to create a contemporary home. A polished concrete floor was a practical response to the renovation upgrade. A framed view of the garden doubles as a rest place in the contemporary kitchen.
Technical complexities caused by weak ground bearing close to a river were handled carefully in a restricted site.
